In October of 2010, we announced
that there were plans afoot in the Department of Corrections to privatize Education Services at either one or all locations.
The RFP was currently being worked on and would be ready for the Commissioner by the end of November 2010. When Carolyn
Wade was told about it, her comment was that no one should be alarmed and not to believe everything we hear or read.
Well, once again, Carolyn Wade is out of the loop and behind the eightball, and the members that she is supposed to be protecting
are now in jeopardy of losing their jobs.
Poor judgement? ... or could their be something more sinister at play???
Afterall, Wade has not had anyone working in the Local Office with any sort of Corrections experience for several years.
In fact, the ONLY information she gets is from Commissioners (both past and present)...the very people who have a vested interest
in keeping information from the Union!
Our Local is a ship without a rudder right now! Can we REALLY afford
3 more years of Carolyn Wade at the helm???
